Meet Dr. Ali Hadian (joined May 2024)
Tell us a bit about yourself (where you live, where you work/go to school, etc.)
My name is Ali Hadian, and I graduated in 2012 from Iran. After successfully running a dental clinic and gaining experience in implants and laser dentistry in Iran and receiving a fellowship from the ICOI, I moved to the United States to further my knowledge. Currently, I am a first-year CAGS/DScD periodontology resident at Boston University Goldman School of Dental Medicine. My research focuses on bone cells and periodontitis in diabetic conditions. After suggesting and initiating a tissue engineering section in our periodontology lab, I am proud to work on the development and research of nanofibers for dental membranes, scaffolds, and drug delivery systems.
Why did you decide to become a dentist? My father's passing inspired me to follow in his medical footsteps. I chose dentistry to fulfill my promise to become a great and useful person, contributing to healthcare.
What made you decide to join AAID? Joining AAID allows me to stay updated with advancements in implant dentistry, connect with experts, and contribute to the field through innovative research.
What do you hope your AAID membership will do to help you in the years to come? I hope AAID membership will provide access to cutting-edge research, networking opportunities, and continuous professional development, enhancing my career and contributions to dentistry.
What do you love most about being a dentist? (If you're a student, tell us what you are most excited about once you are a practicing dentist) I love the ability to improve patients' lives through dental care and the opportunity to innovate in periodontology and implantology.
What career advice do you live by? Who gave it to you? The advice to "never waste a single moment" was self-realized after understanding the value of time through my experiences in Iran and the U.S.
