AAID Foundation 2025 Grant Applications
Applications for the AAIDF Student and Large Research Grants are being accepted as of Monday, March 3. The application deadline is Tuesday, July 1, 2025. No late applications will be accepted. As part of its mission, the AAIDF provides grant funding to researchers who are discovering new and innovative ways to advance the field of Implant Dentistry. Through grant funding, researchers aim to discover and translate their findings into implant dentistry practice.
Students Can Apply for Associate Fellow by Credential
As a provider of postgraduate education in oral implantology/implant dentistry, your program may meet the AAID Standards for postgraduate training programs.
AAID is a membership-based organization that works to advance the science and practice of implant dentistry through education, research support, and credentialing. Once your program is approved, graduates are eligible for the Associate Fellow membership without examination.
Benefits for Your Students
- Graduates from accepted institutions are exempt from taking the rigorous examination
- AAID recognizes your program as exceeding the mandatory 300 hours CE required for Associate Fellow membership
- AAID credentials have been deemed “bona fide” through U.S. court decisions
To begin the application, programs will need to submit information on their curriculum. The submission process requires answering 10 questions and submitting your most recent CODA documents. Postgraduate programs should be at least two years in duration to qualify. Advanced education in oral implantology/implant dentistry may be offered as either a degree and/or certificate program. Become an Academic Associate Fellow
Dentists who serve as full-time faculty or administrators at accredited dental schools and demonstrate active involvement in implant dentistry are eligible for Academic Associate Fellowship. No exams or case presentations are required. To qualify, simply complete the application below and showcase your dedication to excellence in implant dentistry.

AAID Supports Postgraduate Education
- Advanced Education program recognition: Graduates of approved programs are exempt from examination for the Associate Fellow membership
- Academic Associate Fellow: Dentists serving as full-time faculty and administrators in the discipline of implant dentistry may apply for membership
- Bite of Education: A member of the AAID will come to your school and tell students about the AAID, and share their experience of implant dentistry in their dental practice over lunch
- Dental Student Awards: AAID recognizes top students emerging in the implant dentistry profession
- Journal of Oral Implantology (JOI): Students can publish clinical findings, research, and work with the implantology community
- AAID Annual Conference: Highlights emerging clinicians and research with Table Clinic and Poster presentations
- Research Grants: The AAID Foundation provides both student grants and project grants to the implant dentistry profession
- Advanced Education Survey: A listing of full-time implant dentistry programs available in the US is available upon request
